The composer of “Andre Chenier” and “Fedora” writes a quotation with Anti-Semitic overtones for the 1932 book Pax Mundi or World Peace.  Giordano a supporter of Mussolini brings up an anti-Jewish trope regarding banking and war.

Original 1960’s photograph of the German composer conducting a recording session.  Several of Egk’s works are well performed.  His first rate musical legacy will always be tarnished for composing for the Nazi’s despite never joining their party.
