Musicdisc Europe advertising photograph for an album with Oscar Peterson.  Grappelli was the pioneer jazz fiddler who played with Django Reinhart in the Quintette du Le Hot Club de France in Paris from 1934-1939.  Great image!

Autographed photograph of the Russian born, American violinist.  Gordon started out as a soloist, led the Gordon String Quartet, was the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Concert Master for awhile and then headed up the string department at Eastman.

Autographed photograph of the great British concert pianist.  She was one of Theodor Leschetiszky’s favorite pupils and had an important career in Britain, Europe and America. Huge career, but left few recordings, later taught Clifford Curzon.

The legendary pianist and composer writes to his former pupil and assistant Herbert Douglas whilst in Santa Barbara during his month long sojourn in Los Angeles.  Godowsky spins his apparent feelings for the trip into something much happier.

Very good condition

Original large charcoal portrait of the legendary pianist, by pianist Ilse Weissmann.  Godowsky spent the Spring and the Summer touring Russia & Poland and then went to Carlsbad for “the cure”.  It was likely drawn whilst in Carlsbad.
